'Why Salmon Cry'
This 48-page full color book is the first children's story I have illustrated. A young Native American boy goes fishing with his grandfather and hears a legend about the salmon he is seeking. This original story and legend, created by author Roger Blain, incorporates many details of the salmon life cycle, including a page describing the natural history of the salmon at the end of the book.
